Früher brach sich gesellschaftlicher Wandel durch Revolutionen Bahn, doch in modernen Gesellschaften ist es ein schleichender Prozess. Hier ist ein gutes Beispiel dafür:
/Korean Times, 09.09.2011/: Thirty-one students in a same class of a high school in Dongjak-gu, southern Seoul, has filed a petition with the police against their 49-year-old teacher, claiming that he habitually used abusive languages and violence against them. [...] The students claimed that the office has ignored their complaints although teachers are banned from beating students since current progressive Seoul’s top educator Kwak No-hyun took office in June last year. According to the police and the school on Wednesday, the students have asked the police to give punishment to the teacher. “We thought that we have to stop him from doing such an immoral behavior,” said the students in the petition. “We no longer want to learn from the violent teacher.”
Drei Aussagen in dem Artikel finde ich bemerkenswert. Erstens die Tatsache, dass Prügelstrafe bereits seit einem Jahr an Seouls Schulen verboten ist, zweitens, dass sich Schüler trauen, ihren Lehrer anzuzeigen und drittens, dass Schüler sich erdreisten, zu denken. Durch diese Entwicklung ist Europa bereits gegangen und am Ende steht die Kapitulation der unabhängigen Unternehmerentscheidung vor der Reglementierungswut: die Quotenregelung für weibliche Chefköche in Spitzenrestaurants. Doch beruhigt euch, noch ist es nicht so weit. Derzeit diskutieren Politiker nur über die Frauenquote in der Wirtschaft- also im Appelwoilokal.
